Having a well-behaved dog starts with you.
Your dog is learning 24/7 whether you realize it or not. From the moment you bring your new dog home, their lifelong behaviors begin to take shape. More structure means more freedom, and that’s exactly what it takes to live an adventurous life with your pup by your side. We can’t tell dogs what to do, we have to teach them. It’s up to you to lead the way!
"Why not just send them off for training?"
As someone who will happily pay for convenience when given the opportunity, let me tell ya - I get it. Life is busy and fast moving. Our dogs fall into their position in the home naturally, however what that looks like is entirely up to you.

Over the past twenty years, the dogs position in the home has changed drastically. Todays dogs have their own apartments under the stairs, a social media following, and monogrammed beds. These days our dogs are viewed more like children than domesticated animals and that has created a huge uptick in behavioral issues, but why?
In the most simple form, people are rewarding behaviors they should be correcting and not setting truly clear expectations. At Lucky, our only goal is to set you up for a lifetime of understanding and proper communication with your dog.
We teach you everything from basic obedience to the things you may not realize you're rewarding. Most dogs behave well in controlled environments, the true test is getting them out into the world. We believe that these experiences should be shared between owner and dog to form lasting bonds and trust, but don't worry- we'll be there to guide you along the way.

Every Lucky Pup begins with a consultation
All consultations are done in your home with our head-trainer at a time that is convenient for you and your family. At your consultation Allaire will do a meet and greet with your pup, you will discuss behaviors and goals, go for a walk, set-up a success plan, and move forward from there.
If you decide to move forward with one of our Lucky Pup programs, you will be given a few things at signing. You will get your first "homework" assignment which goes over all fundamentals including- Sit, Down, Heel, Come, Place, Leave-it and Free. Allaire works with your dog to introduce these skills as you take a video and ask any questions that come up.
In addition, you will get a link to our member portal. There is plenty of information to access here which includes everything from daily homework to training commands and more!

We believe that the best relationships are balanced
As humans, we are able to thrive when given clear expectations and our dogs are no different. We are told not to speed with the threat of a speeding ticket as a negative reinforcement and discounted *insurance* as a positive reinforcement (adulting is fun... right?). When we give our dogs black and white boundaries, we set a clear path for them to follow without them having to question if they're doing the right thing.
We believe in correcting behaviors we don't want to see and rewarding the behaviors that we do. With this, we're able to remove the grey areas and move seamlessly through life with our pups.
